This painting was a commissioned work based on “Bush Eucalypt”. The clients loved the soft blue/grey palette and the patterns and rhythms of the composition. This work has a strong foreground structure of 5 main tree trunks that provide an anchor to the lyrical elements in the middle ground. The background tones add a soft ambience and balance the busy areas with quiet spaces to rest the eye. The bush designs in the woodblock prints of Cressida Campbell are always an inspiration.
