Grasstree Lagoon

Landscape Painting of Grasstree Lagoon

Size: 130 x 150 cm

Medium: mixed media on primed linen

SOLD

This work is another in an ongoing series of compositions that include a water source, waterhole, pond, lake, or a billabong with an aerial view of trees in a landscape surrounding the lagoon.  The water effect is created by a permanent ink that is poured onto the surface, left to dry and the other compositional elements are painted in later.  All of these works over the years are a derivation of the original painting inspired by many trips to Blue Lake on North Stradbroke Island off the coast of South East Queensland.
